Hygiene Drive

Wednesday, May 1st
Presented by the Young Adult Community Engagement Program. We will be distributing boxes of hygiene products to local businesses, and we will have a box here at the library. Items are free to take!

Saturday, May 4th
Time: 11am – 12pm
Join the Jedi’s at the library as we celebrate al things Star Wars. We will have Star Wars themes activities, crafts, and snack! Best for ages 3-10. Drop In’s Welcome! 

Knit & Chat

Monday, May 6th
Time: 2:00pm – 3:00pm
The group meets every Monday at 2pm. Feel free to bring whatever project you’re working on. Drop-in’s Welcome!

Community Quilting Bee

Tuesday, May 7th
Time: 2:30pm – 4pm
Join us as we use sewing machines and a quilting machine to create squares for a Community Quilt. This will be a 6-week workshop and the quilt will be raffled off at the Ovid Strawberry Festival on June 15th. Best for adults that are experienced in sewing and/or quilting.

Young Adult Community Engagement Program

Next Meeting: Thursday, April 25th | Time: 3p-4p

The YACEP is a 3-month long paid internship at the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library in Ovid, NY. It is open to young adults ages 12-18 in Southern Seneca County. Participants will be mentored by those in the community who are passionate about addressing community issues and will assist participants in creating a group community project that will focus on something that is important and relevant to them.

Telehealth Kits

The library offers a kit that makes connecting virtually with others easy! Can’t see your family for the holidays? Don’t want to drive to the doctor’s office during the colder months? Then check out our Telehealth Kit, available for checkout with a library card at the circulation desk!

Request a Meeting Room

Meeting rooms are available for requests made online using our online meeting room request form. Only requests that abide by our meeting room policy and that have been confirmed by library staff, through follow up or in-person confirmation, to be on the schedule will be honored.

Seed Library

Sign out up to three seed packets and return seeds to us in the fall, all at no cost!

3D Printing

We offer basic 3D printing services, printing in PLA plastic.

Minecraft Server

The library hosts a modded Minecraft server you can play on with friends here at the library or at home.

Book the Archivist

Archivist, Monica is available on Wednesdays between 12 – 5 pm, to help answer any local history questions or assist in research.
